Welcome! My name is David, I'm currently based in Chester, Cheshire, but am often around Yorkshire & Wiltshire.

 

For those that know me, can say I'm always seen with a camera. It all started when Dad gave me his 35mm Olympus film camera to play with, originally with no film because I shot pictures of everything!

As I've got older, I've progressed with my own abilities, invested in new equipment, and travel to new places to explore for inspiration. I continue to share my work on my TikTok, instagram & Facebook. Please take a look if you haven't already!​

My Life

​

I have an incredibly supportive partner, family and selection of friends. They have all at some point been through times where they've had to sit and wait while I take 100 photos of a giraffe, edit photos of ducks or give approval of the best version of a picture. For their patience over the years and their encouragement to follow my passion, I am eternally grateful.

I work at Chester Zoo, where I have lots of amazing opportunities to see the many thousands of extraordinary animals at the zoo. I have the great privilege to have unlimited access to the zoo where you can often find me with my camera, where I like to practice my skills, as well as exploring local wildlife, coasts, mountains, and cities within close reach.

I'm really relaxed with a no pressure approach, but set myself an incredibly high standard, and this will always be shown in my work.
